At its core, Microsoft Windows Home Server allows home users with multiple PCs to manage system backups and share files. It also gives home users and invited guests remote access to the server. Police confirm four incidents between last Friday evening and early Saturday morning where pieces of rebar were thrown through the windows of homes and businesses. Shortly after midnight Saturday, rebar crashed through the front window of a home in the 1000 block of Wellington Crescent. Then shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, a similar incident happened at a home on River Pointe Drive in St. Vital. Police also say rebar went though the windows of two businesses in the 3000 block of Portage Avenue sometime between when they closed last Friday afternoon and when they opened Saturday morning.
